Ralph K. Pope is Vice President & General Counsel at Harmony Technology Services. He comes with thirty years of experience as an in-house law practitioner, with particular emphases on international business relationships, managing legal costs and overseeing supplier relationships.
Pope served as General Counsel at Siemens Enterprise Communications, a privately held spinoff from its parent company, Siemens AG. He led the company’s efforts to expand its federal contracting revenue by establishing a Proxy Board – a necessary requirement to obtain significant U.S. Government contracts. He also restructured and managed a Global Law Department of 20 lawyers located from Brazil to Russia, managed worldwide litigation and budgets totaling over $20M, and monetized the company’s U.S. patent portfolio of over 600 patents.
Prior to his work at Siemens, Pope was the Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Sector Counsel at Northrop Grumman, providing legal advice to a $200 million commercial IT business and producing the standard terms used in software procurement. To address the importance of the supply chain to the corporation, Pope created a legal function to provide advice to the supply chain management process, developing a “mini trial” process to privately resolve supply chain management disputes. He also created an Advisory Board in the UK, where he provided legal support for international operations.
Most recently, Pope was General Counsel at Global Integrated Security, working closely with management to oversee a Special Security Agreement (SSA), a process of enormous record-keeping burdens, that permitted the company to manage it contracts with classified sections.
In addition to his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Pope also holds a Masters Degree in International and Comparative Law from Cambridge University. He earned his B.A. from Eisenhower College in Rochester, NY.
